What about Smorty?

I’m not sure whether it’s me or …?

Well, I’ve tried to work it out with Affiliate Junktion, but those guys just keep on sending me the same emails this week. I just hope that I didn’t lose my money! Because I already payed them. I’m not sure I like this situation. The guys behind the affiliate junktion review and moneyfrom-net.com posted some good words about them (on my last post regarding the AJ), so I’ll not rush into conclusion. But than again: I am not sure if these guys are not the Affiliate Junktion guys just making some promo for themselves.

I don’t know what to think about all that “affiliate” and “make money online” things I’m doing now. Sometimes I just hate the Internet!

Next “fishy” thing is smorty.com.

Smorty.com wants you to write an article of between 150 and 400 words. Not so easy when a broad theme comes in (like mine about the shopping cart software, whos service I really liked). Then, you have to publish that article on your blog - and guess what - wait for 5 days for them to review and eventually approve it. Hm, interesting. 5 days. On my graphics-illustrations blog it means that more than 3000 people already saw that post. Google took that post into account when weighing the value of their site, and guess what: no matter if your article good or bad, stupid or clever, after five days of sitting on your blog it can be refused without any explanation. Click. Done. Like that. Gone by the wind.

Not sure it was worthwhile. Not at all. Let’s see what happens next.

Hi, I can assure you I am not from affiliate junktion. You can check out my blog and you will see that for sure. My opinion is that they will pay you (though I have not been paid as I haven’t made enough money as yet so that I cannot confirm) but as they are only really selling leads…it can’t go on forever. So if you get in quick then yes, you can make money, there are a few people on my blog saying they have been paid. However it won’t last forever. Thats my take and I am definitely not in conjunction with Affiliate Junktion.

Oh thats bad. Are you going to cancel your hosting? Let me know how that goes. I’m still testing a few things out with my hosting, they seem alright so far so I might keep them.

hi!! well buddy..this is to inform you i am not any guy from AJ..very new to this earn money online thing…and i am still waiting to cross my threshold $150..
but..everything has gone the way AJ guys had said..atleast till now
therz always a prompt reply from the CEO..always all the time wen i asked
my $75 hosting refund was not credited to my account..i mailed the CEO and the next day the refund was in my account with a letter of apology…
lets see how things shape up…i dont know about the future but till now i am pleased rather satisfied with everything..

Sadly to say, I signed up too, paid bomb for advertising in Yahoo UK as instructed. Thought this was a good site. Well, an expensive lesson learnt, not to pay for any of these schemes again.

PLEASE - all of you - stop paying 75 or 95 for hosting. There are a lot of places that offer free hosting (granted the names are ugly. You want Simple? Easy? All in one? Take it from a web designer - read on…

I have been reading all the blogs about this company. Some of my clients are saying “it should be free to sign up” . I almost joined affliliateJUNKtion. but I am glad I didn’t. Hosting is usually 10-19 dollars. I had several sites and what’s tough is learning how to get your Domain registerer to hook up with your Hosting company. I am with GDI now- they make $5 on every person who signs up. They pay out $5 on every person that signs up. The service is great and the Name and Hosting come in one package. I am very satisfied. I am a web designer and yet I tried the “simple” web builder GDI offers and built this site in 2 hours. http://www.gdisites.com It will change when I do it by hand and add some flash and java of my own. Consider GDI as an alternative to the JUNKtion.
Free for 7 days (and they do let you quit) $10 per month for the service (no more - no less) - I have it and love it. I manage 3 domains there now - nice to have one user/pass for all three.
