I have to say that I’m disappointed with Google. First of all, blogffiliate is dedicated to the affiliations networking and earning some affiliate money from it. It’s really interesting that Google ranked me 4 just a two months after my first post here. I wasn’t expecting that. I wasn’t expecting even to be ranked. But then again, my graphics-illustrations blog isn’t ranked at all. Even after few months. This blog has about 1000 times more visitors, 100 times more traffic (according to Alexa) and has at least one comment per post.
Do not understand. What have I done wrong?
Well, I don’t want to yawn. I earned some 40 Euros from Commission Junction and that is really great! I didn’t expected that, and I do not check it regularly… but from now on I will.
Not just marketer, but I can confirm you that banner with “click here” wont work. Or something with “buy now”. Only if we are talking about some Apple or Adobe super unique fancy time limited heavy discount offer. You gotta to be genius and write millions of millions words, you have to be funny, interesting and unique, you must give your visitors tons of free stuff… and after a year or two maybe you’ll succeed.
Baaaah. Can’t wait that long, but it looks like I’ll have to.
That’s it. I earned 40 Euros. Now I have enough to pay my phone bill. OK, 60% of my phone bill. Expensive country I live in.

I was yawning about my low income on AdSense, and that was because I didn’t realize how important of the ad placement is. In fact, I was aware, but I didn’t want to mess up my blog design (graphics-illustrations.blogspot.com).
Now I have to do it, because if I want to produce more free content I have to earn by advertising!
Since I placed the “AdSense for content” right above my post - income increased significantly! It jumps for more than 1300%!
Since I’m moving my site from graphics-illustrations.blogspot.com to graphics-illustrations.com my visits split between those two, but I have to change my blogger domain in order to have more control over my blog (web site).

I’ve already wrote about Linkshare stats, but today I have a good news: I earned $0,72 there. It’s a small, small, small… amount but it makes me happy because it’s working! All that affiliate thing it looks like it makes sense after all.
I’m a member there since 9th November, and since then my data looks like:
- I created 7 affiliate links (1 still not working, and 1 cancelled by the advertiser – so I have them 5)
- 10 492 total impressions
- 317 click-troughs
- 1 item sold
It looks like if I market more I will earn more, but what if my sales share is smaller than my paid marketing?

Getting fun with Forex-affiliate. Since mid-November I earned nothing, had 93 clicks and 1 user registration. Not worth mentioning!
I’m not sure about Forex thing, even I thought to open an account there. I’m not into money trading, so I’ll stick with the stocks. Thanks to my broker and Croatian market I’m down 4% right now.
But the future is pink (no, not orange :)) and I’m happy in the face of some people who want to f me up! And I’m going on with my Money Making Plan!
Blog on!

This one will be a short post.
Why?
Because it’s dedicated to the Smorty affiliate statistics, and if you are the affiliate of the Smorty, you know why.
Affiliate statistics on Smorty look like:
- Referral Reports:
- Last 2 Weeks – Total: $0
Very informative, hm? :)
So, that’s it for today. Stay tuned.

Five days ago I started with “commission junction” affiliate program.
I was fascinated with the options that were offered: so many Advertisers to choose from! I remember them since late nineties, when I was young and fresh to Internet. Those days I didn’t think it will last, but luckily I was wrong. :)
So, after getting the account there I applied to few advertisers, some of them declined me immediately without explanation:
“Your application has been declined by this advertiser for one or more reasons. If you have a question please contact the advertiser through advertisers detail page within the account manager.”
Well, I didn’t find anything on the detail page, maybe I should contact the advertiser directly? Yes, but I don’t have a time for that.
Here are my affiliate statistics for the first five days in business:
- I created 19 links from 12 advertisers and posted them on 3 blogs
- Total number of impressions are 1,581
- Total number of clicks are 5
- Sales? None!
It looks like my visitors likes shopping at shop.com (ratio impressions:clicks is 4:2), then “eBags Outlet“, WhiteSmoke English & Grammar Lessons and WhiteSmoke’s Shopping Cart.

Three days ago I became a member of LinkShare.com thanks to iTunes!
How?
Well, I wanted to become iTunes affiliate and submitted a application. However, my application was turned down because my blog is not about music. I was a bit upset because in my mind music is one universal thing. Everybody is listening to music, everybody is to a greater or smaller extend interested in music, we are all surrounded by music on a daily basis. My visitors most probably also listen to music and might be interested in iTunes. Well, however, you can apply for iTunes affiliation program only through LinkShare, so I needed to register there before submitting my iTunes application. I registered, my iTunes application was denied, but I remained a member of LinkShare. Now we’ll see how it works. Will keep you posted.
So far, my first impressions are that the whole system and member sinterface they have is kinda too complicated for a beginner. There are bunch of forms with dozens of fields to be filled in and some links I created are not working. Here is one example. I have received the following link from LinkShare (to use it on my blogs): Holiday Classics- personalized greeting cards.
If you clicked on it you will see that this link doesn’t take you to the designated page. If it did take you there, then it means that they fixed it up in the meantime.
But, so far, this link doesn’t work. I asked them few hours ago and I hope I will receive some answer soon. Until then there’s nothing left for me to do except to wait.
Here are some statistics on my affiliate performace in the first 24 hours:
- 239 impressions,
- 70 click-throughs in 1 day through 2 blogs
- I created 5 affiliate links (+ one not working)
New statistics will be publishied in 7 days.
Cheers!
